Welcome to news about the upcoming annual meeting of the American Electrophoresis Society, held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) to be held November 9-12 in Nashville, TN. The society is pleased with the final program for Topical Area 3 which contains high-quality and informative programming. We expect our sessions to continue to be some of the best attended at the conference.
First, consider becoming a member in AES. We are working hard to offer new and innovative benefits to our members including a newsletter, revamped web site, and the opportunity to network directly with colleagues who share your research interests. We invite you to see the exciting changes underway at AES!
Second, by attending the conference as an AES member, you will be registered for a drawing to win a new iPod nano. The drawing will take place at the AES member banquet, to be held at 7:30 PM on Wednesday November 11 at the Ristorante Volare in the Gaylord Hotel. You do not need to be present at the banquet to win, but attendees will have their name entered in the drawing a second time to double your chances of winning. We invite you to join us for an evening of food, fun, and fellowship. Delicious choices of appetizer, entrée and dessert are included along with a glass of wine at dinner. The cost is $50 payable either to AIChE at registration or at the door.
Once again, thank you for helping us to provide the highest quality programming possible. Our meeting could not be successful without your efforts.
See you in Nashville!
Victor M. Ugaz
President, American Electrophoresis Society
