Membership Information

As outlined in the Constitution and Bylaws of the AES Electrophoresis Society, the objective of The Society is to be a nonprofit organization conducted for scientific and educational purposes, to advance and promulgate knowledge in all areas of the field of electrophoresis as used in both applied and research applications. It is organized exclusively for educational and scientific purposes.

The AES Electrophoresis Society is a unique international organization founded to improve and promote technologies necessary for biomolecular separation and detection. The techniques of electrophoresis are numerous and include isoelectric focusing, 2-D / IEF / SDS PAGE, capillary, free-flow, as well as classical gel systems.

The AES Electrophoresis Society is:

  1. dedicated to the development, refinement of electrophoretic and detection technologies.
  2. formed to promote excellence - good science and techniques, and
  3. designed to cross many disciplines;
  4. to facilitate collaboration and communication between members worldwide;
  5. to facilitate the training of scientists and students in electrophoresis and detection technologies; and
  6. to facilitate peers training peers.

The Society is interested in theoretical modeling of electrophoretic separations of various biomolecules, as well as, the direct application of those principles and their refinement.

Membership in the Society is open to qualified individuals who share the purposes of the Society as their common interest.

All Members are entitled to a reduced subscription rate for the journal "Expert Review of Proteomics".

This information is provided in part to other Members for personal scientific contacts for information exchange within the scope of the objectives of The Electrophoresis Society to promote advances in electrophoresis research only.

Responses to Email Inquiries

When Visitors or Members send email inquiries to The Electrophoresis Society, the return email address is used to answer the email inquiry we receive. The Electrophoresis Society does not use the return email address for any other purpose and does not share the return email address with any third party.

Voluntary Surveys

We may periodically conduct both business and individual Member surveys. We encourage our Members to participate in these surveys because they provide us with important information that helps us to improve the types of services we offer and how we provide them. Your personal information and responses will remain strictly confidential, even if the survey is conducted by a third party. Participation in our surveys is voluntary. We take the information we receive from individuals responding to our Surveys and combine (or aggregate) it with the responses of others to create broader, generic responses to the survey questions . We then use this aggregated information statistically to improve the quality of our services and Annual Meetings. This aggregated, non-personally identifying information may be shared with third parties.

Commitment to Data Security
